Dying with anticipation, I knew all day that my shiny blue envelope was waiting for me at home. My suspicions were confirmed when I tore it open to find my assignment was for Girls Education and Empowerment in Togo, leaving September 16th. I could not be more excited!
I am now overwhelmed with all that I have to accomplish before my departure date. Packing, selling anything I can, spending time with friends and family, there will never be enough time. I feel as if I am going to blink and then I will find myself in country, surrounded by new people and immersed once again in French language.
Tonight I am fighting the urge to fill out all of my paper work and start packing immediately and just enjoy that my life will be amazingly different six weeks from now...
